We are in the midst of a great shift in human consciousness. The ancient Mayan calendar is due to end on 21st December 2012. The Mayan elders described this as the end of an old era and the beginning of a new one. Astrologically 2012 is the culmination of our transition from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius.
A very rare alignment will occur in 2012 between the Sun, Earth and the centre of the Milky Way. Also at this time, the earth will enter the photon belt, which is a band of very high vibrational energy that will help raise the vibrations of Earth and all life forms on it, enabling us to evolve to a higher dimension of love and acceptance.

Attunement to the higher vibrations of the shift into the 4th and 5th dimensions is a gradual process of spiritual awakening and accelerated growth at the most fundamental level for us all, individually and collectively. The purifying energies of the Great Shift are bringing moments of heightened awareness of our interconnectedness, and an increase in our capacity for love and compassion. These are glimpses of our Divinity.
But heightened consciousness brings growth in self awareness and so we will also become increasingly aware of our fear and negativity (ego) which clouds our spiritual vision. Disturbing thoughts and emotions may arise spontaneously or in response to intensely challenging circumstances. Unresolved inner issues and karmic relationships will trigger our deepest wounds. Fears that have long been buried, perhaps for many lifetimes, will be pushed to the surface. The experience will be different for each of us, according to the lessons we need to learn.
On a collective level the purification process has manifested as increase in global conflict, and crisis brought on by climate and geological changes. The upheaval will continue until the necessary shift in awareness has occurred.

We must co-operate with this process by doing our own work of personal transformation, taking full responsibility for our journey toward higher consciousness. If we are spiritually awakening we have to confront our lower nature. Our fear and negativity will eventually be cleansed with the light of awareness, acceptance and forgiveness.
We must also go within, through meditation and contemplation, connecting with our own Divinity and learning to balance the feminine Universal Love with the masculine Universal Power.
