Over twenty years ago I began a serious study of astrology with the Mayo School of Astrology, although my passion for the subject began as a child. I have always had strong intuitive perceptions of people, and a compassion that arises from my own sensitivity to life. Astrology brought order and meaning to my observations of people and experiences, and with time I knew I needed to take the study a step further.

Karmic astrology fulfilled my quest to understand the purpose of the current incarnation and thereby view our experiences as part of a higher plan.

I have had the opportunity to work with clients from a broad range of backgrounds and nationalities. The secrets of the birth chart continue to manifest themselves to me as an ever-unfolding process. Through astrology I have seen the perfection of cosmic law at work in our lives, and developed a profound respect for the value of this ancient and beautiful art as a tool for self-realisation.

My own journey has been a process of revelation, an unfolding awareness that within our deepest wounds lie our most precious gifts. It is my understanding that transformation occurs when we can love unconditionally all that we have been and all that we are.

As a seeker I have explored many different spiritual philosophies, including Eastern Mysticism through Raja and Kundalini yoga practices, and Zen. Although all teachings embody the principles of interconnectedness I have learnt that spiritual truth can only be found within, as direct experience.

It is my experience that a spiritual discipline is an essential part of our journey to enlightenment and freedom from suffering. Only through meditative awareness can we awaken to our true nature - who and what we are - and see the delusions of the ego. I run a spiritual awareness group http://www.meetup.com/The-Berkshire-Metaphysics-Group/ which offers meditation and discussion to those interested in their journey towards wholeness and integration.

Through meditation practice and life experience I have seen that the roots of karma lie in our intention. Self-awareness must be raised to a level whereby we are constantly attuned to the workings of the personal will, or ego, which is driven by desire. Our journey back to our Source therefore entails the spiritualisation of will, the need for surrender to Divine Will. This realisation brought me to Subud in November 2011.

For those interested, Chiron and Pluto are prominent in my birth chart, making the themes of wounding, healing and transformation powerful issues in my own life and the lives of my clients. Mars conjoins the Moon's north node, urging me onward toward greater awareness and commitment to spiritual values. My Sun is on the cusp of Virgo and Libra and my Ascendant on the cusp of Sagittarius and Capricorn. Perhaps this symbolises my conviction that we must all move forward out of the old and into the new.
